The Audio Captain is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the audio inventory and the associated storage areas inside of BROS HQ. The Audio Captain is responsible for organizing and maintaining any audio and live sound-related needs for BROS during and outside of production, including speakers and audio equipment, sound and mixing boards, band & backline gear, power cables, & related accessories.
  • Works with the show Department Leaders/Designers & Production Director on a show by show basis to determine the physical needs of the department. This includes the use of any equipment in storage, including acquisitions of new equipment.
  • Works with the Production and Operations Director to organize any buildout projects needed for audio storage.
  • Leads audio volunteer days where volunteers are enlisted for organization, storage and rejuvenation of BROS audio inventory and spaces.
  • Leads audio skills workshops and organizes teachers for workshops aka “Tech Rodeo” for development of volunteer skills
  • Works with Production and Operations Director  to to purchase necessary audio equipment or tools & supplies related to maintenance and storage.
  • Maintains inventory of all audio equipment.
  • Maintains system for renting/loaning existing audio equipment to members of BROS and other companies in collaboration with the Production and Operations Director.
  • Has agency to dispose of or sell any unwanted audio equipment
  • Maintains a clean, safe and well-stocked workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.
