Thank you for your blood, Dylan Koehler and Claudia Jolin!

After may years of blood, sweat, and volunteer service, Dylan Koehler, Treasurer, and Claudia Jolin, Chair, have stepped down from their positions on BROS Board of Directors.

“As a co-founder and longtime Board member, I remain incredibly proud of how far BROS has come from its humble origins. From just an idea to DIY produce a single show, the artists, volunteers, staff, and directors who have joined along the way have built the vibrant and welcoming community we all now know. I am confident that the strength and support of that community will continue to propel BROS successfully forward for at least another 7,000 years”, stated Dylan.

Dylan's service to BROS has been uninterrupted since 2009. He helped write BROS's first show, played in multiple BROS bands, helped BROS found the nonprofit, filed many years of IRS 990s, was the first managing director, and established the Bell Foundry as BROS's first HQ. He was an original Board member and has been involved virtually since moving to California in 2017. Thanks for everything, Dylan! Now, you can view this historic video of him playing Grundlehammer tunes in 2009:

Claudia Jolin has been a longtime supporter and cheerleader of BROS, making many connections that allowed for shows and strategic initiatives, such as The Gold Night and Love & Roar. Claudia has not only volunteered for BROS fundraisers and special events (who remembers Cosmic Nectar?!), but notably was the Business Operations Director and has pushed the company higher through her dedication. She was a key figure in the planning and partnership process for securing the new and current HQ4 space on Loch Raven Road. The building project is going to be a huge sustainer of BROS, and we couldn’t be more grateful - thank you for everything, Claudia!

Introducing New Board Leadership, Naomi Davidoff and Aran Keating!

We are excited to announce that Naomi Davidoff has been voted as the new Chair of the Board! Naomi joined BROS in late 2011, and was the Development Director from 2017-2022, an Artistic Council member from 2018-2022, and the Costume Director from 2011-2015. She holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Goucher College. In addition to fundraising and supporting BROS artistic programming, she has worked as a costume designer (Valhella!, 2012, Murdercastle, 2013, Electric Pharaoh, 2014, RATS! Rock Opera 6-Pack, 2015), show creator (RATS! Rock Opera 6-Pack, 2015), writer, composer, and director (Holes: A Puppet Anthology, 2021). In her free time, she plays guitar and sings in the grunge-rock band, Puddled. She works in Development and Alumni Relations at the Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, and is an active member of IATSE Local 799 wardrobe union in Philadelphia.

Aran Keating will be stepping in to fill Dylan’s giant shoes as the Interim Treasurer. He is a founding member and former Executive Director of BROS. If you don’t know Aran, he plays tenor saxophone, runs the DJ company Ridiculous Entertainment, and works in live event and audio production. His favorite BROS credits include directing and co-writing Gründlehämmer (2009, 2014), directing A Computer that Loves (2024), The Battle of Blue Apple Crossing (Constellations & Crossroads 2018), and performing in RATS! From the Rock Opera 6-Pack (2015). He was honored with a giant metal trophy for all of his visionary work with the company when he stepped down as Executive Director in 2024, and somehow we’ve convinced him to stick around longer and continue serving on the BROS Board of Directors.
