"The Gold Night" opens September 29th in downtown Baltimore. Many production, tech, crew, designer, and front-of-house roles need to be filled.

Set in Dawson City in 1898 during the peak of the Klondike Gold Rush, a ragtag group of gold-crazed characters in a sumptuous saloon are gleefully outdoing each other in games of chance and rousing dance numbers when an impending attack by a giant ice worm unites them to venture into the cold, terrifying night to fight the monster and save the town from total destruction.

Props Designer

Designs, obtains, builds and prepares all props necessary to fill the props needs of the show. The designer works with the director and other designers to ensure that their work aligns with all plans and designs toward the successful unfolding of the scripted story. It is expected that this designer have the skills to both shop for and obtain props, while also creating new props by modifying or constructing new props.

Technical Director

Assists with the management of all technical departments, including, and not limited to: sound, scenic, lighting, video, IT, puppets, sets, costumes, and LIT. The TD works under the direction of the director, production director, and executive director, with input from stage management and production management.

Audio Technician (Assistant position available)

Assembles, operates and maintains the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound. They identify the sound requirements for a given task or situation and perform the appropriate actions to produce this sound. The technician also acts as the primary front-of-house sound mixing engineer, ensuring that performers have necessary microphones, batteries, cabling, and associated accessories. The technician works with the director and other designers to ensure that their work aligns with all plans and designs toward the successful unfolding of the scripted story. 

Wig, Hair, and Makeup Designer (Assistant position available)

Designs, fabricates, instructs, delivers, and styles all hair and wigs and related pieces, attachments, embellishments, etc  to fulfill the hair and wig needs of the show. The designer works with the directors, costumer, and other designers to ensure that their work aligns with all plans and designs toward the successful unfolding of the scripted story. 

Stitcher

Fabricates, fits, pins, alters, and sews all pieces necessary to fulfill the costume and creature needs of the show. The stitcher works with the director, costume designer, and other designers to ensure that their work aligns with all plans and designs toward the successful unfolding of the scripted story. 

Lighting Designer (Assistant position available)

Designs and manages all lighting, in house, for the stage show. The designer will program software, hardware, hang, focus, and install instruments, and run all necessary cabling. The designer works with the director and other designers to ensure that their work aligns with all plans and designs toward the successful unfolding of the scripted story. The designer is responsible for the plan and execution of all technical elements and gear necessary for the successful realization of the planned design.

LIT Designer

Designs, installs, and repairs all small LEDs and small electronics that may typcially attach to props, costumes, or set and scenic pieces.

Craft Services Coordinator

Helps placate the hordes of BROS volunteers with food. They are responsible for managing a weekly snack budget throughout production and a daily meal budget during tech and shows to ensure that cast, crew, and volunteers are adequately fed.

Front of House Designer

Designs, constructs, and implements the visual elements, and sensory experience, for the front-of-house area. This person works with the show's director and designers and under the direction of the production director and front-of-house lead.

Front of House Associate

Works with the Production Director and Managing Director, and the Stage Manager for each production, to organize and execute a smooth front of house experience (including tickets, seating, concessions, traffic flow, etc).  The FOH Associate is supported directly by the BROS Production Director, Managing Director, Bar Captain and the production Front of House Designer
